Holland Colours Refines ESG Reporting Journey and Raises 2035 Ambitions

Holland Colours has published its ESG Report 2025/2026, presenting an updated sustainability roadmap towards 2035, a refined reporting framework and the results of its first group-level EcoVadis assessment.

A new chapter in sustainability reporting

The sustainability reporting landscape has changed significantly over the past year. Following the EU's Omnibus package, Holland Colours is no longer in scope for mandatory CSRD reporting. The company has used this as an opportunity to refine its approach through a Resilient Strategic Matrix, combining voluntary sustainability reporting standards with a pragmatic, business-led approach that builds on preparatory work already completed under European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Raising our ambitions for 2035 

As part of this transition, Holland Colours has updated its sustainability roadmap towards 2035. The revised ambitions build on the progress made in recent years and reinforce the connection between sustainability performance and long-term value creation.

The roadmap continues to focus on three key areas: Our Processes, Our Products and Our People, with updated targets designed to accelerate progress in environmental performance, sustainability-driven innovation and employee development.

Turning strategy into action

Holland Colours is further integrating sustainability into its business strategy, risk management and decision-making. The Board of Management oversees the company’s sustainability ambitions, while ESG program leaders are responsible for translating them into action through a strengthened governance structure. 

The company also completed its first Double Materiality Assessment (DMA). Although not required under the applicable voluntary sustainability reporting standard, the assessment was conducted with reference to ESRS principles, providing greater insight into the sustainability-related impacts, risks and opportunities most relevant to the company and its stakeholders.

First group-level EcoVadis assessment 

Another key milestone during the year was Holland Colours' first comprehensive EcoVadis assessment. Conducted at group level, the assessment resulted in a Bronze Medal, providing independent recognition of the company's sustainability performance and establishing a global baseline for continuous improvement. 

Looking ahead

With its updated roadmap in place, Holland Colours is moving into the next phase of its sustainability journey: turning its 2035 ambitions into measurable progress. The focus will be on improving environmental performance, advancing sustainability-driven innovation and supporting the development of its people, while adapting to a reporting landscape that continues to evolve.
