Holland Colours appoints new CEO and expands the statutory board of management by adding Director of Innovation and Technology, as the CTO.
Holland Colours is pleased to announce that at last week's annual general meeting, the shareholders approved the appointment of Coen Vinke as the new CEO. Besides, several other senior appointments were made, to continue the company's growth in the colorants market. In this context, the statutory board of management was expanded by adding Director of Innovation and Technology, Eelco van Hamersveld, as the CTO.
Coen Vinke, joins Holland Colours from German multinational ink manufacturer Siegwerk, where he worked for 14 years, most recently as vice president of Flexible Packaging USA/Canada. The parallels are obvious: colorants, packaging, international. Before Siegwerk, he worked for security-ink specialist Sicpa, industrial conveyor system leader Fenner Dunlop, and paints and chemicals giant AkzoNobel. He graduated in Business Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
'I like the ownership structure and the combination of the company being employee-owned plus a couple of larger shareholders and some shares being traded on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.', says Vinke. 'And, currently there are also a lot of interesting movements in the colorants market, which adds even more excitement.', he continues. 'Circular economy is an important topic and we need to understand what that means to us. Some of the products we have are suitable, and it is a matter of developing the right technology to answer this trend.', he concludes. Holland Colours has always been a company, driven by technology. To further build on this strength, we decided to appoint Eelco van Hamersveld as the company's CTO.
Eelco van Hamersveld (1969) holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the Eindhoven University and a MBA from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. His experience covers leadership on development of color and special-effect products at General Electric Plastics (now part of SABIC), and continuous improvement and manufacturing innovation at Philips Automotive Lighting.
"The organization is moving into a new era. In my career I have always worked on creating and building, and I see an opportunity to do that at Holland Colours.", Hamersveld explains. Ask Hamersveld about the company strengths, and he quickly reels off a list: "People in Holland Colours are very committed to customers. We can further strengthen our role as solution provider. And, continue to leverage our global capabilities and potential global efficiencies. My vision on innovation at Holland Colours is starting to take shape and the next step is to engage the organization and to realize it."
