Working in Logistics and Shipping you will play an important part in the overall process of managing the movement of product as well as ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of finished product to customers. 

Your responsibilities will include pulling and preparing daily customer orders per required specifications to meet deadlines, receiving finished goods and chunks from production and placing material in the appropriate bin locations, pulling and completing future shipments, samples, repacks, and re-labels, completing the inventory cycle counts and warehouse cleaning as scheduled, making the necessary movements of material in the computer system, and ensuring the integrity for the finished goods warehouse (verify quantities, proper labeling, organization, and documentation).

Essential Functions

  1. Follow all OSHA standards and safety procedures set forth by the company.
  2. Must be organized, flexible, able to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines, prioritize workload, demonstrate a positive attitude, integrity, high degree of professionalism and accuracy, good judgement, and excellent follow-through skills.
  3. Able to lift 55 pounds, push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds on a consistent basis.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of a forklift reach truck (including short periods outside in inclement weather), electronic scales, stretch wrap machine, and other machinery or material handling equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Generate daily Goods to be Shipped Report and pull customer orders by deadline. Verify correct count, label information, appearance of product, and any customer-specific requirements for each order. Communicate weights, pallet count, and dimensions to Shipping Clerk.
  • Load outbound shipments on trucks while adhering to safe practices.
  • Store and organize finished goods in the warehouse. Responsible for finished goods warehouse integrity and quality of stored product (i.e., cleanliness, damage prevention, labeling, organization, and documentation).
  • Stretch wrap (if necessary) and put away finished goods received from production in an organized manner.
  • Enter the appropriate information (Stage Count, Bin Transfers, etc.) into the ERP inventory system.
  • Pull samples and rework (re-label/re-package) materials as needed.
  • Cycle count finished goods as needed.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse and operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate reorder needs to Purchasing Department.
  • Contribute to the organization’s LEAN, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Move finished goods to rework and complete associated ERP transactions.
  • Cross-train to perform and assist in all Logistics - Receiving duties as needed. This position operates as direct support to Logistics – Receiving.
  • Support standards set forth by ISO 9001: 2015.
