About the job
What if your regulatory expertise directly shaped how a global company makes decisions? As Product Stewardship Specialist at Holland Colours, you are a key expert in a global team. You work with experienced specialists across regions, and together you decide how to respond to new regulations. Your mission is clear: provide expert guidance on EU chemical safety for Holland Colours. In return, you’ll receive a salary of up to HUF 980,000, plus a cafeteria allowance of HUF 740,000, a profit share of up to 1.5 months’ salary, school support of HUF 55,000, and life, health and accident insurance.
Why is this role so important?
Because the rules are moving faster than ever. New chemical regulations are on their way in Europe, the US and Asia, and they often arrive sooner than expected. For Product Stewardship, that means being ready before the rules take effect.
Meanwhile, the team keeps strengthening its global way of working. Three years ago, specialists from Netherlands, Hungary, Indonesia and the US joined forces in one Product Stewardship team. Today they share knowledge on global projects, while each region covers its own regulations.
The team is now investing in what comes next. The goal is a global setup with dedicated leads for each region and processes that work across borders. New systems and AI will automate routine work. That gives specialists more room for regulatory expertise and advising the business.
You step in while all of this is happening. You decide what’s right on EU chemical safety, and you help build the way the team will work in the future.
Here’s what that looks like day to day:
- You handle incoming compliance tickets and issue clear yes-or-no statements on whether formulations comply.
- You prepare, issue and maintain safety data sheets and CLP labelling for our products.
- You review and clarify supplier safety data sheets.
- You keep the chemical data in our SDS software (Lisam ExESS) accurate and up to date.
- You monitor EU regulatory developments and assess their impact on Holland Colours and its customers.
- You initiate and implement process improvements that support a global way of working.
The Team
You join an eight-person global Product Stewardship team based across the Netherlands (Apeldoorn), Hungary (Szolnok), the US (Richmond) and Indonesia (Surabaya). The team brings together expertise in regional regulatory requirements, including operational and data-management capabilities that support consistent product stewardship across the business. The team combines long-standing product and regulatory knowledge with newer perspectives and a shared commitment to developing global ways of working. You’ll be reporting to the Global Team Lead Product Stewardship, based in Hungary.
The culture? Transparent and collaborative, built on trust, not titles. We may be publicly listed, but our culture is anything but corporate. We value open dialogue and collaboration across all levels. If you bring initiative and forward-thinking ideas, you’ll find autonomy and support waiting for you. Based in Szolnok, you’ll have the flexibility to work remotely up to two days a week.
What you'll be doing
Your Talent
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field.

- You are skilled with SDS software.
- You have a critical mindset and enjoy explaining regulations to non-specialists.
