Build HR into a trusted, go-to partner by putting people first and creating a positive culture of collaboration. As HR Manager, you help the new Head of Division build a well-functioning Management Team while keeping a sharp eye on HR processes and compliance. In return, you’ll receive a base salary of up to IDR 50 million per month, profit-sharing and a year-end bonus (in total worth up to three months’ salary), plus monthly allowances.

What will you be doing?

As HR Manager at Holland Colours, you balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution. You actively gather what colleagues need and translate signals from the organization into concrete solutions. In recent years we’ve built a solid foundation: a salary house, a clear handbook and tidy processes. Now it’s time for the next step. From benefits programs to leadership development and workforce planning, your work will shape how we attract, retain, and grow people across borders. This is what you’ll do:

  • You take full responsibility for developing and executing the Asian HR Divisional goals together with the support of an HR assistant;
  • You are the go-to person for employees and managers in Indonesia;
  • You ensure the right workforce is in place: in numbers, in skills, and in mindset;
  • You act as a senior advisor to management on people, culture and organizational development
  • You drive efficiency through smarter systems, documentation, and automation
  • You support and coach managers on change and performance
  • You manage a wide range of operational HR tasks: from onboarding and payroll to benefits, occupational health, internal communication, and events.

The Team

As HR Manager at Holland Colours you understand how to operate within a matrix structure. You report directly to the Global HR Director (based in the Netherlands), with a dotted line to the Division Director (based in Indonesia). That means you work on both the ‘what’: HR vision, structure, and strategic programs developed globally, and the ‘how’: the local execution, tailored to the needs of the region. Around 60% of your time is focused on the local HR agenda, while the remaining 40% connects you to global initiatives, working with HR colleagues across Europe and the United States to share best practices.

Locally, you’re a core member of the Indonesian management team, working alongside the Division Director, Business Controller, Sales Manager, and Operations Director to align HR strategy with operational needs. You act as a trusted partner for change, helping shape organizational structure and people development.

On a global level, you’re part of an international HR team of 11 professionals in Europe, US, and Asia. In Surabaya you manage one HR Assistant and take the lead to supervise an outsourced security team of eight, the receptionist and two cleaners.

The culture? Transparent and collaborative, built on trust, not titles. We may be publicly listed, but our culture is anything but corporate. We value open dialogue and collaboration across all levels. If you bring initiative and forward-thinking ideas, you’ll find autonomy and support waiting for you.

About Holland Colours

Our employees are co-owners of the company. This is rooted in our culture: employees are engaged and in it for the long term. With this employee participation model, we are independent, and we can guarantee that we are living our purpose: helping our clients find a better way by working together. When things don’t go as planned, we always find new ways of working together. That is why we value accountability. If you take responsibility for what you do, things will work out in the end. You may work with a lot of freedom because we trust each other as colleagues. Decisions are made quickly because we are a relatively small company. This helps when we want to move fast in the changing additives and colorant industry.
