What will you be doing?

As HR Manager in our plant in Hungary, you shape the future of our workforce. You actively gather what colleagues need and translate signals from the organization into concrete solutions. From wellbeing programs to hands-on training, you are in charge. With professional confidence, you support managers in making smart people decisions. This is what you’ll do:

  • You take full responsibility for executing the EMEIA HR Divisional goals locally together with the support of an HR assistant;
  • You are the go-to person for employees at the Szolnok site;
  • You ensure the right workforce is in place: in numbers, in skills, and in mindset;
  • You lead learning initiatives;
  • You initiate projects focused on employee development and well-being;
  • You manage a wide range of operational HR tasks: from onboarding and payroll to benefits, occupational health, internal communication, and events.

The Team

As HR Manager at Holland Colours you understand how to operate within a matrix structure. You report directly to the Global HR Director (based in the Netherlands). Around 50% of your time is focused on the local HR agenda, while the remaining 50% connects you to global initiatives, working with HR colleagues across Europe, America and Asia to share best practices. 

Locally, you’re a core member of the Hungarian leadership team, working alongside with the Site Manager, Quality Control Manager, Operations Manager, Finance Manager and Safety Manager to help steer the Szolnok plant forward. 

On a global level, you’re part of an international HR team of 9 professionals in Europe, Asia, and the US. You’ll lead a four-person team: an Admin/Payroll Assistant who support administrative tasks, two cleaners, and a receptionist. Your leadership sets the tone in creating a department that others trust, respect, and want to engage with.

Your Talent

As HR Manager at Holland Colours, you understand the rhythm of a manufacturing environment, and the people who keep it running. You listen actively to the needs of colleagues and the business and translate those insights into action. When needed, you ask tough questions and challenge leaders constructively to move the business forward. Ready to step into the driver’s seat? Here’s what you need:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience;
  • You bring at least 5 years of HR experience;
  • You understand the dynamics of a manufacturing environment and know what plant teams need to thrive;
  • You speak and write fluent English and Hungarian;
  • You have strong knowledge of Hungarian labor law and social security legislation;
  • You are comfortable using digital tools to streamline HR tasks;
