About Silco
One of our successful collaborations is with Silco, a specialist in silicone and hybrid sealants and adhesives. Silco serves leading companies in the window, bath, kitchen, and construction sectors and stands out for its ability to offer custom colors tailored to each project, going beyond the typical gray, tan, or white options. Over the past four years, Silco has also expanded into demanding markets such as automotive, electronics, and military, developing innovative solutions to meet specific customer needs.
We recently spoke to Holly Kraus, Silco QC Manager (R&D Chemist), about how Silco and HCA work well together.
The beginning of our partnership
Since 2020, HCA’s innovation, communication, and product quality have made us the go-to partner for Silco. At Holland Colours, we understand how important it is for Silco to maintain tight quality control, from daily production checks to R&D and meeting global compliance requirements.

Co-creating a custom pigmented dispersion base
The pandemic challenged them, as so many companies, with extended lead times, rising prices, and disrupted supply chains. But it also sparked new developments in R&D, pushing Silco to think outside the box to keep production moving.
That spirit of innovation shaped our collaboration. Together, we’ve developed a custom pigmented dispersion base that solved their end-customer’s challenges like stringing and flow issues. With only two iterations, the project was a success. HCA’s transparency and commitment to quality are essential to Silco’s production process, ensuring they always receive top-tier products that meet their standards.
